Happy Halloween!
31/10/05 15:56 Filed in: An Open Diary
Off on the road again tomorrow. This time it's back to California, with an end visit to Winnipeg. The beautiful Monterey will be nice, Winnipeg will be cold!
As far as a PIONEER 10 show, we have received confirmation for a show at the end of November, but have since received word that there are still some negotiations left for the date in question. Once we've nailed that date down, I will post!
Be safe tonight in your Halloween fun! And don't eat too much candy!

Western Canadian Music Awards
23/10/05 22:52 Filed in: An Open Diary
Today marks the last day of the Western Canadian Music Awards.
The conference and trade show ran from Friday through Sunday, with Apple in attendance. Apple makes good stuff for musicians!
The Artist Awards show was this evening, and my favourite band Limblifter was nominated for Outstanding Rock Recording. Ryan Dahle also made a guest appearance with the band The Waking Eyes, who performed at tonight's show at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
Hurray! Now I can sleep.

Seattle Fun this Past Weekend!

Went to see a Seattle band called, "KINSKI" at the FunHouse in Seattle. Here are some pics:

That's drummer Barrett Wilke...

... Lucy's bass pedal setup...

... that's Chris Martin on the mic, with Lucy on the right...

... at the Funhouse Seattle. Nice people!

By the way, the FunHouse is right across the street from Seattle's Space Needle and the Experience Music Project. It's a building created by architect Frank Ghery.

Have you seen a satellite in the Georgia Straight?
Look for another one in this coming week's edition (Oct 6th).
We are planning a show.
More to follow. Sometime late November.
Winnipeg is rad. But then again, most of the prairies are. I'm in it again.
